At the East Barre Antique Mall
What a great weekend! It all began with the famous in these parts, (these parts being the greater central Vermont area) East Barre Antique Mall Super Bowl Sale. I have been a long time patron of the mall, but have never participated as a vendor at the legendary sale. Many thanks to Bob Somaini for hosting such a wonderful event. Bob and his staff really roll out the red carpet for customers and vendors alike. His hospitality and goodies from meatballs, orange ginger chicken to carrot cake and pasta frolla were amazing. It was a lot of fun talking to fellow antique lovers and seeing many delight in finding a treasure or two to take home.
On Saturday night, my husband, son and I decided to take in dinner and a movie. We saw, "Silver Linings Playbook" and it was excellent. We are working on seeing as many of the Oscar nominated movies and performances as possible before the Academy Awards. Oscar day is a holiday in this house! So far we have seen Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty, D'jango, Argo, and Silver Linings Playbook and have really enjoyed all.
Sunday morning was very frosty and beautiful
Sunday was spent doing a little cooking for the Super Bowl (as Super Bowl Sunday is also a holiday in this house!) rug hooking, Pinterest searching and of course watching the Super Bowl and commercials. As our beloved Patriots were not involved in the big game this year the atmosphere was very relaxed. To cap off a day of eating all the wrong things, we each had our favorite Ben and Jerry's flavor during half time, so..... Monday morning brought some extra time on the treadmill!
Time to get back to work!
